Construct Potable Water Line from Facility 629 to FAMCAMP

Patrick Air Force Base, FL

Installing a 10” underground potable and fire water distribution system line and abandoning in-place existing water main.  Installation requires open cut or directional drilling under and across airfield runway.  Site restoration includes asphalt and concrete pavements, seeding, and sodding.

Airfield Lighting Sustainment, Runways 02/20 & 11/29

Patrick Air Force Base, FL

Furnishing and installing a new Airfield Lighting Control System (ALCS), distance markers, and runway edge lights.  Detailed electrical load calculations and alternative approaches were developed as part of an electrical and value engineering analysis.

Threshold Lights Improvement, Runway 11/29

Patrick Air Force Base, FL

Installing additional runway threshold lights to update existing lights, and to update other related electrical equipment.  Detailed electrical load calculations and alternative approaches were developed as part of an electrical and value engineering analysis.

Add/Alter/Renovate Building 1366

Patrick Air Force Base, FL

Renovated and enlarged an existing single story building to meet program requirement for a bioenvironmental engineering facility.  Work included careful demolition of existing partitions, ceilings, finishes, MEP systems, and roofing, and the construction of new interiors, exterior wall and concrete tile roof, and new ATFP windows and storefronts.  MEP systems were reconfigured to meet the change in occupancy.  Project received “Outstanding” CCASS rating.

Repair Pump Station 7 & 1.5M Gallon Deluge Tank, Facility 29150

Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, FL

Replaced steel toe of launch deluge water storage tank; replaced 10-inch fill and recirculation lines and fill valve regulator; installed new exhaust fans at pump house and replaced pre-lubrication motors on diesel engines; abated lead-based paint at the interior of the pump station building; replaced wall louvers; installed VCT, wall insulation, drywall, and paint; replaced windows with sound dampening units; and replaced potable water supply lines.  Project received “Outstanding” CCASS rating.

Ambulance Shelter Conversion, Building 1388

Patrick Air Force Base, FL

Design-build construction to convert a 2,400-square foot building from an ambulance shelter to an office. The conversion project included demolition, conceptual design, turn-key construction, construction drawings, as-builts, and construction.  Mechanical, electrical, general construction and utility line tie-ins for water and sewer were part of the scope.  We used Building Information Modeling (BIM) software and conducted a charette with key stakeholders.  Design changes were implemented during the charette, reducing design phase by 4 weeks.  Project received "Above Average" CCASS rating.

Septic/Sewer System Improvements, Area 9

Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, FL

Connected five septic systems to the existing sewer system at Cape Canaveral.  Work included preparation of project documentation, trenching and pipe installation, dewatering, directional boring to minimize intrusive activities, construction of lift stations, and abandonment of existing septic systems.  Use of directional boring instead of traditional trenching minimized site excavation activities and allowed for a faster field construction phase.  The project was completed on-schedule and within budget; "Above Average" CCASS rating received.

Repair Interior OAHU & HVAC Controls, Facility 81900

Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, FL
