County of San Diego, Department of Public Works, CA
RORE, as a Joint Venture partner with another small business, managed a $32M firm fixed-price contract to provide time-critical site assessment, remediation, and demolition services in San Diego County following the October 2007 wildfires. Site assessments were completed at 624 properties; debris and soil were remediated from 300,000 acres; hundreds of tons of asbestos-containing material were abated; and driveways and roads were repaired. RORE managed 33 construction crews (~170 workers) to complete the scope of work within a 4.5-month period.
Patrick Air Force Base, FL
RORE is currently executing a fixed-price design-build construction project to convert a 2,400-square foot building from an ambulance shelter parking garage to an office space. Project work includes generation of a Project Work Plan and Shop Drawings, and all construction related to converting the interior space to usable offices. Construction scope includes mechanical, electrical, and general construction, as well as utility line tie-ins for water and sewer. The project also includes all required quality control components and design considerations for hurricane events.
Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, FL
RORE is currently performing a fixed-price field construction project to connect five septic systems within Cape Canaveral to the existing sewer system. Work includes preparation of project documentation, trenching and pipe installation, dewatering, directional boring to minimize intrusive activities, construction of lift stations, and abandonment of existing septic systems.
Patrick Air Force Base, FL
RORE is currently executing a fixed-price project to install additional runway threshold lights, to update existing lights, and to update other related electrical equipment at Patrick Air Force Base. Detailed electrical load calculations and alternative approaches were developed as part of an electrical and value engineering analysis. The resulting project award included the proposed alternative approach to ensure future equipment compatibility and avoidance of electrical system overloads.
