Gita Murthy Selected as Region IX Minority Small Business Person of the Year by U.S. Small Business Administration
San Diego, CA – July 31, 2009: RORE’s CEO, Gita Murthy, PhD, was selected by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) as Region IX Minority Small Business Person of the Year. This award is intended to recognize minority small business persons who best exemplify minority entrepreneurial success.
With Dr. Murthy’s selection at the regional level, she is now one of 10 minority small business entrepreneurs from across the nation nominated as the National Minority Small Business Person of the Year by the U.S. SBA. The national winner will be selected during the 27th National Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week conference in Washington, D.C. on August 26-28. Congratulations Gita!
San Diego, CA – July 29, 2009: RORE-ITSI JV was selected by Naval Facilities Engineering Service Center (NAVFAC ESC) for an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Environmental Multiple Award Contract (EMAC). The 8(a) set-aside contract is valued at $75,000,000 with one base year and 4 one year option periods.
Under the EMAC contract, RORE-ITSI will provide support and management for innovative technology environmental projects. Work will include cleanup approaches for contaminated sediments, remedial system optimization, long-term monitoring strategies, implementing innovative sampling strategies, site characterization, data analysis, and data management. The work will be performed in support of various Navy and Federal government programs throughout the United States and its territories.
San Diego, CA – July 16, 2009: RORE-ITSI JV was selected by Naval Facilities Engineering Command Pacific (NAVFAC Pacific) for an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC). The small business set-aside contract is valued at $400,000,000 with Task Orders ranging from $2,000 to $15,000,000. The period of performance is a base year and 4 one year option periods.
The work to be acquired under this contract is for new construction, repair, and renovation of commercial and institutional buildings, by design-build or design bid-build at various locations globally. Types of projects may include, but are not limited to: new construction, repair, demolition, and renovation for various locations worldwide (including remote locations); general construction including horizontal (utilities, waterfront) and vertical work (building), and construction of medical facilities (hospitals, medical clinics, and/or dental clinics). Work may include energy and water conservation projects involving the repair and or modifications to existing facilities using the latest in commercially available products intended to conserve energy and reduce green house gas emission.
San Diego, CA – April 24, 2009: RORE was selected by Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southwest (NAVFAC Southwest) for award of an 8(a) Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) for General Construction. Covered work includes design (limited), construction, management, and skilled labor services to respond to a variety of routine and emergency calls for maintenance of and repairs to government facilities located in the Small Business Administration (SBA) Districts of Los Angeles, Santa Ana, San Diego, California and Phoenix, Arizona. The agreement has a ceiling of $3,500,000 with one base year and 4 one year option periods.
San Diego, CA – June 2008: RORE entered into a Mentor-Protégé Agreement with Innovative Technical Solutions, Inc. (ITSI) of Walnut Creek, CA. Awarded under the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) sponsored Mentor-Protégé Program, the agreement is designed to enhance the development of the Protégé and to encourage the Mentor to provide various forms of assistance to ensure contracting opportunity experience and overall financial viability.
San Diego, CA – June 12, 2007: RORE was selected by Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southwest (NAVFAC Southwest) for an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Fixed-Price Remedial Action Contract (FRAC). This sole-source contract is valued at $3,500,000; the period of performance is a base year and 4 one year option periods. The FRAC focuses on environmental restoration and compliance projects at Naval and Marine Corps installations in California under the responsibility of NAVFAC Southwest.
